Kinship Seeds
Welcome to Lee’s seed art project for biodiversity and applied kinship! The are some of the 2025 Seed Art packs available. Each pack is $6, plus mailing cost, to cover some of the cost of making them. Please contact me through my contact page here for availability. Supply is limited but everything up is available in some quantity.
Monarda fistulosa pack containing Bee Balm, seeds. Each seed packet has plant faunal associations on the outside and inside has germination instructions. Each seed pack is an original block print signed by the artist, so minor variations between prints will exist. Seeds are all hand grown and harvested sustainably as Hudson Valley ecotypes. Local Hudson Valley pick up and delivery may be available. Mail orders subject to availability.
Penstemon hirsutus pack: Hairy Beartoungue seeds hand harvested in their Hudson Valley in original hand-pulled linocut block print pack that can be saved after you are done germinating the seeds. Each seed art pack comes with a list of host plant benefits and germination instructions inside.
Symphotricum novae-anglia pack contains seeds of New England Aster, hand harvested and sustainably hand grown as Hudson Valley ecotypes. Seed packs will contain both seeds and fluffy chaff from the aster as well as plant benefits and associations listed on the outside, and sowing/germination instructions on the inside. Each pack is an original block print and will be signed and edition numbered on the outside.
Baptisia australis pack with seeds of False Indigo. Host plant benefits and plant information are on the outside and germination instructions are on the inside. Each pack is also an original handmade block print with the artist's signature, thus individual block prints might have minor variations from the one shown. Seeds are Hudson Valley ecotype and sustainably hand-grown and harvested.
Heliopsis helianthoides pack with germination instructions for Ox eye Sunflower inside as well as description of the plant's faunal association, medicinal/food uses and host plant benefits. When you are done with the seeds you can cut out the art and you will be left with a one-of-a-kind hand-printed linocut print. Seeds are Hudson Valley ecotype and sustainably hand-grown and harvested.
